Capability Model V2.3.1
The ACORD Reference Architecture provides an enterprise architecture framework for the insurance industry. It consists of business processes, standards, information models, software, and infrastructure analysis to run and operate insurance companies and applications efficiently.
The Capability Model defines a baseline of the “activities” across the insurance value chain. It presents the tasks in a functional decomposition, without pre-defining an ordered workflow, to reflect the industry’s capabilities and un-sequenced processes performed. This model can be used in process engineering, merger/divestiture evaluations, and business operations analysis.
Version 2.3.1 is the most updated version of the Capability Model. Older versions are also available by request.
If your company already has access to the Reference Architecture or any of its individual components through previous purchase or other arrangements, the files are free to download in the Reference Architecture area.
