Continuing Education

In order to maintain your designation as an ACORD Certified Expert, you must earn a minimum of 8 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits per calendar year. This is achieved through a combination of webinars, educational opportunities, ACE program support involvement, event attendance, standards development communities, and special projects.

Annual Recertification

Current ACEs must submit their completed CPD form no later than January 31st for the prior calendar year. (Please note that any Standards Year in Review webinars held in January will only count for the preceding year.) Upon both completion of your CPD credits and payment of your annual maintenance fee, you will be issued your updated ACE digital credential.

Volunteering & Mentoring

Volunteers are essential to the ACE program. As an ACE volunteer, you can put your experience and expertise to use in the Standards community, and also earn valuable CPD credits toward your recertification. Some of the ways in which ACEs share their expertise are:

  • writing ACE exam questions
  • proctoring ACE exams
  • facilitating study groups
  • mentoring other ACEs
